Job Description:

Meghan manages and oversees the four VPR core facilities and is the Building Manager for Stephenson Research and Technology Center. The four VPR core facilities include the Electron Microprobe Laboratory, the Electron Microscopy Laboratory, Kessler Atmospheric and Ecological Field Station (KAEFS), and Stephenson Research and Technology Center (SRTC). Meghan supervises the Research Campus security staff for SRTC, Stephenson Life Sciences Research Center (SLSRC), and the four Partner Place buildings. Some of Meghan’s responsibilities are:

  • Works with Facilities Management and outside vendors to renovate lab space and office space in SRTC
  • Assists with new faculty startups
  • Assists faculty, staff and students with their requests at SRTC
  • SRTC OneCard Administrator
  • Schedules annual safety drills and seminars at SRTC
  • Schedules SRTC equipment certifications
  • Schedules preventative maintenance for SRTC equipment
  • Schedules waste pickup through Stericycle for SRTC
  • Works with Property Control to tag and inventory all items on the SRTC accounts
  • Member of the VPR Emergency Planning Team
  • Member of the SRTC Emergency Planning Team
